The Registry will securely store all of your employment, education, and training information, that you submit, as it pertains to your professional development in the field of early childhood education.
The education information stored on your profile includes the following: college degrees (including degree name), completed college courses, child development permits, and teaching credentials. This data is displayed on your personalized Education and Training Report (please note only courses passed with a “C” or higher will be displayed on your Education and Training Report). Your employer has access to this report as they may be required to provide proof to the Department of Social Services – Community Care Licensing Division, the Commission on Teacher Credentialing, and/or the California Department of Education – Early Education Support Division that your qualifications meet state requirements. Local initiatives, such as QRIS and stipend programs, may also need information about your qualifications in order to better support you and other professionals in selecting an education path or meeting qualification requirements.
The employment data stored on your profile includes information about your current and past jobs in early childhood education. This includes the facility name, job title, start date of employment and/or change in job title, pay rate, hours worked, end date of employment, hourly/annual wages prior to taxes (gross), part-time/full-time status, hours per week, and weeks worked per year. Your current employer will be able to see employment information pertaining to your current position, but not information associated with your prior employment.
The training information stored on your profile includes information relating to professional development trainings and workshops. This includes the titles of the trainings, the dates the trainings were complete, and the number of professional development hours (“clock hours”) granted by this opportunity. This information will be stored under the Training section of your Education and Training Report. Trainings provided by state-funded training venders (e.g. Resource and Referral agencies) are automatically tracked on your report. If you attend other professional development opportunities, you will need to submit or upload those documents to your Registry profile.
